Weekly Spoiler III: Time resumes its flow
Re: Weekly Spoiler III: Time resumes its flow
This week's spoiler is... a skill for the chicken!
The intention is that the chicken, when in peril, will run away and lay an egg for reinforcements. I was thinking when the egg is hatched, it'll immediately transform into a full size chicken, which will perhaps have some random odds of spawning at varying levels. Typically, it might be around 50% of the parent chicken's level, but on rare occasion, maybe a super chicken will be born."I'll do the art." ~Danno 2014

This week's (??????) spoiler is... interface updates!
For comparison, here's a look at the old title screen buttons.
The old interface was very dark and not really planned out well. Basically, we needed SOMETHING to work with, so I made something and we used it for years. For a long time, I intended to update it, and now I'm finally doing that. Hopefully it should work out better than before now that we have a better idea of what exactly the interface requires."I'll do the art." ~Danno 2014
Re: Weekly Spoiler III: Time resumes its flow
Did we ever use GSO's login buttons? We might have in v1.0.

I forgot those even existed! How awkward. We might have briefly in a dev client.

Re: Weekly Spoiler III: Time resumes its flow
This week's spoiler is... a new monster in the works!
The intention is that under certain circumstances, a tumblok in distress will be able to transform into a more powerful form. Some areas might be setup to allow this transformation to occur more easily, so players would have to be on high alert to prevent it from happening.

Re: Weekly Spoiler III: Time resumes its flow
This week's (???) spoiler is... interface updates in progress.
It's not very exciting, but I think it'll improve the game's overall presentation!
For comparison, here's how the old one looked:
This is still very much subject to change, but basically the idea is to make it look kinda like a trading card. Previously, it didn't really have any sort of theme or design intention - it was just a box using the same border we used for every window in the game. Anyway, I just wanted to make it a bit more pleasant to look at. It's not very exciting, but I think it'll improve the game's overall presentation!

This week's spoiler is... trying to finish what I started!
I've been working on detailing the new monster. It takes some time since the dude's so big."I'll do the art." ~Danno 2014
Re: Weekly Spoiler III: Time resumes its flow
I felt like I didn't make enough progress last week to be worth posting this same monster again, but here's where it's at now.
Still gotta add more details and colour, then it's back to the back view."I'll do the art." ~Danno 2014
Re: Weekly Spoiler III: Time resumes its flow
I think this about sums up the front view.
Back view is still a work in progress!"I'll do the art." ~Danno 2014

Remember how I was supposed to make the female version of this equipment? Me neither.
I've kinda been wanting to work on equipment for a change of pace, so I guess I should finish what I started!"I'll do the art." ~Danno 2014
Re: Weekly Spoiler III: Time resumes its flow

Re: Weekly Spoiler III: Time resumes its flow
This week's spoiler is... prison clothes!
None of this is set in stone yet, but the idea here is that arrested players will be forced to wear the prison outfit. They might also be equipped with an accessory (such as shackles) that prevents the player from changing their own equipment. There might be a few options for the prisoner once they're in jail, such as:
a) Do the time. Depending on local laws, it could be a short wait or it could be a while. Once the sentence has expired, the shackles will be removed and the player might be dumped outside of the jail cell naked (prison outfit removed, but now they can equip their old stuff).
b) Be freed by a fellow rebel. A rebel might sneak in and unlock the cell or a group of rebels might raid the prison and take out the guards. Escaped prisoners would keep the prison outfit and be easy for heroes to identify/subdue. Rebels might have to make it to a hideout to have their shackles removed.
c) Escape independently. There might be something like a tunnel that prisoners could use to get out, but it wouldn't be easy.
In the future, it's intended that players can align themselves as heroes or rebels. Player rulers will be able to create laws for the game's towns. When rebels break those laws, heroes will have access to law enforcement options, including arresting the troublemakers.None of this is set in stone yet, but the idea here is that arrested players will be forced to wear the prison outfit. Re: Weekly Spoiler III: Time resumes its flow
irl work's been rough. I've been reluctant to post updates on this prison outfit since it's not very exciting, but I'm still slowly working on it!

Re: Weekly Spoiler III: Time resumes its flow
The male version of the prison garb is finally complete!
Now I get to make the female version, which should hopefully go a little quicker.
edit:
Oh yeah, I forgot to make drop views of stuff. Here we go.
