Hello, world! It's been a long time since we made a post. We're still alive and working on the game here and there. As usual, our lives have been busy, so progress has been slow. Still, we're hoping to get a beta client of the game up and running again by the end of the year. It could be sooner if things go well, but it'd be best to keep those expecations low, I suppose!
As we've mentioned before, the game is being re-coded from scratch. With that, we have some exciting (?) changes in the works. The new game client is being designed as a browser-based game, making it more accessible to a general audience without having to formally download the game. Furthermore, we're planning to make the game world more smoothly connected - that is, we're aiming for a more "open world" experience compared to before. Rather than following specific pathways to access warp points that send you to the next map, the maps will just load as you approach the edge of the screen. The intention here is that you won't see a black void at the edge of the maps and that you won't have a bunch of loading screens as you travel. We haven't made it to the point that we can share the test client yet, but stay tuned and we'll get there eventually.
